My XR7 is pretty much stock except for a k&n cone filter and removed mufflers, and I am wondering if I should lose to a Chevy Caprice in a race? I lost, he caught me off gaurd and I couldn't catch up. Is that the normal outcome?

Oh, and will I be safe with a 10% pulley with just removing the mufflers, or should I open the exhaust up more?

You should have been able to catch him. you never can tell if the caprice was modified or not. I have a 10% pulley with just cat back exhaust & haven't had any problems.

Thanks, now I am going to order the 10%. I dont think my trans downshifted to first because it kind of bogged down when I stepped on it.

BTW those rims look real nice on your XR7!

Where can I order the 10% od pulley from other than scperformance?

I found my pulley on ebay paid like $25.00 for it about 9 months ago.
