WHAT I LEARNED TONIGHT

1. When shipping expensive goodies, you just pile it into a cardboard box with no packing materials at all.
2. Expect something all scratched up and not pretty looking , eeeek
3 the nipple where the vac line hooks to on the return plenum to FPR, is snapped off.. oh boy

a few pulleys + belts

I don't care what my car looks like, once it goes fast enough, then I'll make it look prettier.

Do you just need a new fuel pressure regulator? Those are easy enough to come by.

its not the PFR, its the nipple on back of the return plenum where the vac line hooks up... I think i can use an easyout kinda dealy to get it out i hope....otherwise i can just drill it tap it and put new fitting in.. nothing really to big of a deal, just little problems i didnt expect when i slapped the money on the table

Like: "Yea I sold the car already so i dont know whats going on with that gauge you overnighted me money for.. Oh well.. " The guy who sold you those parts is definitely something special :rolleyes: I still cant believe he actually had the nerve to say that!!

I appled for a job at ups and did a walk through the other day. And they handle the packages like ~~~~. NO JOKE. They just throw them around kick them ect. Even if it say fragile. hahaha They dont car.:eek:

I talked to chris who we got the AR from today. The AR is insured for up to $2500, but to see anything from this the AR needs to be packed back up, i need to drive it to queens 2night for UPS to pick it up. They then ship it to there insurance company who will inspect everything and then they will make a decision on it.

Im not doing that. Its not worth it to me to have it with them for another however long, of them throwing it around. Not like if they break it i can just buy another. I sanded down both plenums and re-sprayed them and they look good as new. Im goign to do whatever i have to do to fix that nipple, oh well. The raised top is trashhhhhed and looks like garbage, but thats pauls on the FMIC he bought out from under me so its ok ;) haha

Wow I just sent a blower to New York today. Its packed real well and insured. I sent it UPS, never had a problem with them.:D

Damn!! I woke up this morning, read this post, and ran outside all excited, but alas, no effin A.R. growing from my trees!! Congrats Miller, hope you have vaction coming up soon so you can put this thing together and finally track the car for REAL. Lemme know when you plan on working on the car, I'd like to help, or watch, whatever.

Make some threads on the sound ports and put a bolt in it. Fix that right up.

What happens is the kangaroo pouch has acids in it and it just eats bare aluminum alive. The baby kangaroos start chewin on it, too.

I think this one was pulled from a sharks stomach. I know a lot of guys who use these M9D's as anchor's...and they look like tastey treats to the fishies. You know, like a shiney lure. That's why they started calling em eatin's.

noooooo i didnt dave. MAGICALLY, THE POST OFFICE MUST HAVE LOST IT. I called him today and he said he needs to make it to the post office to file a missing report, and he told me that they told him it could take up to 4 weeks to hear anything back. He told me worst case is its gone, and he will give me HALF of the money for a new one...guys a real turd. I shot dalkes a PM today about getting a new one.....Dealing with this guy has sucked all the excitment out of even having it...it will be on eventaully, but idk if b4 track season is over... it will hit the dyno with these heads and cam tho, just to see what it can do for the fun of it... by summer i will have nice heads / cam at a minimum, possibly a new motor... and most likely new tranny too...

thinking of dumping power brakes and power steering also.. I have 2 other cars, id ont need luxuryssss

Sounds like that guy needs a couple punches in the face, to help him remember that is not cool to rip people off. Good luck getting the car back together.

Its a dam shame too. He seemed nice enough but you can never tell. I think I'm lucky I even got anything from him at this point. As soon as I find the time to write something lovely up he's going to be in the hall of SCOA/TCCOA shame. Ididnt say anything at this point as I didnt want to risk Miller not getting everything he needs. But teh cats out of the bag and the car is sold so no more parts are being parted by him.

Pablo still hasnt gotten the headers....And the car has been sold. What does that tell you?

The guy owesd me an A/F ratio gague as well...I dont see myself getting it. I even spent $45 sending him MO next day air to pay for this stuff because he needed the money right away...Ill stop now because this is the wrong place for this.

As for Millers car we will be trying out the AR with his current setup and takeing it from there. My suggestion is to build a motor on the side as his shortlock has well over 100,000 miles on it.... but ultimately its up to him.
