no workie:(

Will a plugged cat really make it run and pop? it revs WOT just fine, just when I move the car an anything less than WOT it falls on its face and does its POP POP thing

Get a timing light and verify proper timing.

Check fuel pressure, make sure it's holding after key off, and is proper when running.

This isn't a SC unique issue. Any car could have this problem. So get a mechanically inclined guy to help you think it through.

I haven't checked timing, I guess I'll have to figure out how to play with that, I have never done this on a SC

There are 2 things that have made my engine not like to idle and pop in the exhaust: bad O2 sensors and a cracked intercooler. They both made the exhaust like raw gas.
