Congratulations - That's VERY Impressive!

What's different from Bakersfield? Did you change blowers?

Good job Jim! How about sharing some of you're engine 'secrets' with the rest of us Californians! Cam grind, head configuration etc... Then maybe we can take over all of the top spots.

Congrats, Mike

Thank's to all of you
John the biggest problem we fund the stumbbeling in low and high gear was we where running out of fuel

It has to be half full to pick up the fuel in the tank and we are still fighting blower belt slippedge we feel next time out we can get 12.20's than on to high 11's we are there now just getting it all to work together now

The motor has the power we still have a long ways to go we are still fighting blower belt slippedge only get 3 runs to a belt still got the old S-model blower

Will test again and lower it a lot more Calif is on the charts now its ben a long time now its coming together "thank you all"

Jim, sounds like you could benefit from a 10-rib blower belt. From what I saw of the one you broke at Bakersfield, I think it was an 8-rib. ESM makes both the 8 and 10 with quick change pulleys.

Jim Demmitt Jr
08-31-2002, 01:53 PM
That is what we need
ESM will get a set do you know where to get a cogged belt setup like Coy Miller has?

We are loosing power do to the belt slipping got the fuel problem solved what are you running on your blower?

Got a good 60ft on that 12.604et run 1.770 60ft

1/8 mile was good 8.010 1/8 mile

Want to get to high 11's soon I would be a happy camper if we can get her there did you figure out the problems with yours?

Your SC is very well put together and I know you will be right there in the 12's soon

Awesome!!! Hey Jim, I had a question for you. Is your Silver Bullit just a track machine...will it pass emissions? I want to put more into my motor but, I don't know how far I can go before the emissions people say no. Anyways, awesome run I hope you get everything worked out soon.

Yes my SC is a street machine
I got Kooks long tube headers you can here the cam in this thing I am going to get it smoged soon it should pass

Its all stock body car all steel Nor-Cal and Southern Cal have pictures of the engine and car in there Bakersfield meet pictures in there forums

I am going to be runing it on the street to all the Nor-Cal and Southern Calif meets its a blast to drive lots of power in a little V6 to pull a heavy car this quick Bob Johnson Performance does awesome engine work

Good luck with your build up its worth it ;)

Jim, I don't know where Coy got his cog setup, but I assume it's a custom job.

I've been trying the 3.05 and 2.95 but haven't concluded anything due to other unsolved problems. ESM has 2 smaller pulleys but recommends reinforcements first. http://www.embreemachine.com/PartsSC10RibQCPulleySetASE.htm

That 60' is AMAZING!

Haven't had time to dig into mine. Maybe the air's too cool going into the motor. I'm taking a break from it and going camping with the doggies this weekend.:) I'll get back to it next weekend.

Your brought back great memories the best was the challenge between me and the St. Louis gang . It all started with some cross country internet banter between SCCOA members on their quest for an 11 second time slip. The west coast won that one with an 11.911 @ 112.665 out of Jim Demmitt's Silver Bullet back in April of 2003, but the gauntlet had been thrown down

When I ran the 11 second pass (Ponyeater) was jumping up and down saying we did it he ran home posted the time. Now we are number 1 first in the 9's the west coast has one serious powerful SC

Sounds good

If you guys can get some sponsorship dollars together to get the "Silver Bullet" out there. I like to show the St. Louis bunch some west coast horsepower and some stout 9 second runs

Jim I dont want a pokemon card with your hair taped on top of one of the little dragon people, autographed with a crayon.

I'd pay big bucks to have a sticker on your car, but last I checked stickers cant be attached to imaginary things.
