Hey guys, I haven't visited this site in a while and I just moved to Concord from TX. Been a long time member and just been scopin' things out here in the Nor Cal area.
Too bad I didn't check things out a bit sooner, might've been able to make the meet you just had.
Unfortunately for me, I'm getting ready to be away from the area for a few months. But, I'll try to keep tabs here when I'm home and maybe catch a meet.
I've been amazed how many MN12's I've seen since arriving in CA. MN12 sightings where I used to live was getting rare.

welcome to nor cal..too bad you will be leaving soon.

maybe we can plan something where all the nor cal members come down..well, at least the bay area members...
when are you leaving, because i think it wont happen before january, too much family stuff for everybody.

that might have been our last meet till '08

Meet at a mall ?? Like Valley Fair ? That place is CRAZY during Xmas season.

And welcome to Nor-Cal, Crusin .. Bay area.
Yeah I see at least a couple MN12's everyday .. not including the 3 in front of my house.

Hey there Concord

I'm in Tracy...
I used to come to the meets but my bird is down and out right now... (head gasket)

I might fix it myself ... not sure just yet...

Hope to meet up soon..

The only meet ive seen you at John was the Apex show. Hmmm.

Yeah youre lagging on that Head gasket, dont let it sit too long. You ever end up finishing the heater core in the Blazer ??

yea the longer these cars sit the worse they get...it is a fairly easy job, just looks a bit overwhelming at first...might as well throw some mods on it while you're down there ;)

Most of the latest visits I've missed over the past year...
Prior to that we had a nice run of events... some breafast meets here in Tracy, one meet in Sacramento where we did indoor goKarts, Dublin two times both breakfast and at Hooters and then I got 2nd place at last years APEX show... ( not this recent show) ... then the car started acting up...

I did finish the head gasket on the Blazer and to tell you the truth... it's actually easy... but the directions to fix it are sucky on the internet. I paid a guy online to walk me through it and that baby works great... OH.. there are no shortcuts at all... there is no way to get around the process... but I got it done... runs great.

So now it's bird time... I have no idea how long or difficult that process is... I heard that it would cost me $1,900 to have it fixed.

Thankfully I haven't had to get into the head gasket yet, but noticed gasket around t-stat is leaking.
I just saw a white early 90's SC parked in a drive way within 2 miles of where I live. Looked like some work is getting done to it.
Gonna see if I can tackle that gasket and change oil tomorrow. I'm hoping I'll have better luck with the t-stat gasket this time. First time, I broke 2 of my 10mm sockets and ended up having a shop do it.

If you feel like driving your welcome to come down to my house and tackle that leak and oil change. I have the all the tools you need. Also check to see if its warp by lying on a nice straight surface like a kitchen counter to see if its warp.

I'm in San Jose.

Thanks for the invite; perhaps another time. I've got company in town and running out of time before I leave town for an extended period. However, if I run into unexpected problems I may take you up on the offer, but that would be a few months down the road.
Thanks for the advice on the warpage.
