I'm in Oklahoma and can drive up to Kansas City or between...need low mile engine or rebuilt long block and nice 5 speed...ad in parts wanted. Thought I'd check the local board in case someone in driving distance knows...

I'm assuming you want a SC engine? All of mine are 150K-225K miles on them. Anybody in KC got a stash?

Nonsense..I looked over the past four years of posting for rebuilt or low mile engines and they often do not sell on this forum after weeks of listings...not to mention it's Xmas time and folks need money and who knows who might want to give up on a long--lingering project!

Found nice 53k Cougar hit in rear with 5speed and running motor $800 shipped to my door...thanks...

Good pun...had to call about 50 junkyards to find it. Found a great site: http://car-part.com/index.htm you plug in the part you want and it immediatly gives you lists--you can slice and dice it by condition, mileage, price or distance from you. For example there are about 150 SC motors for sale across the country of which 20 or so are 94s and 95s. There are about 40 5 speeds all over...priced between $250 (Dallas no testing) to $1200 (Georgia rebuilt). One guy in Laredo, TX junkyard tried to tell me the motor from his 94 only had 4,000 miles on it because the odometer said 4,000...I tried to explain to him the gauge cluster probably had been switched but no avail...
