I witnessed his run this weekend at the Nationals, unfortunately the MPH did not come out correctly.

Wowsers. Did he turn on his jet engine halfway down the track or somethin? That is a helluva mph, heh

What was his mph on his other runs?

The computer was messin' up in that lane only. I had a 585.59 & a 614.15 mph pass, but those weren't the fastest ones of the day.

That should bump Rick up another spot on the top 25 list. This was the first time I've run all 13's without any 14's at a meet. I was pretty consistent running from a 13.79 to a .90 over my 4 runs. Unfortunately I red lighted (again) in the bracket round. I'm going again Fri. down here and see if I can continue my streak of 13's and work on my launches.

I witnessed it myself. Despite the mph, it was a helluva run. Mike ran pretty consistent also. There were some good runs, especially since there was a severe traction problem.

I also witnessed it.

A few of the low 13 second cars might be capable of 12's on a different track. Micah ran pretty good, here though.

Where's Thunderbird Raceway in Muskegon? I never heard of it. I'd like to bring some of the SW MI guys up there sometime. How does it compare to Martin? Does Thunderbird Raceway have a website?

The ET and speed are measured from 2 different sensors. The speed is measured right at the finish line with 2 sensors about a foot or so apart. If a piece of dirt, grass, or a leaf is partially blocking the the first sensor and is fluttering in the breeze it could false trigger the sensor and give a false reading as will also a loose wire connection or a hardware problem. The ET is timmed off of the sensor at the start line and the last sensor at the finish line. If the last sensor was also having problems then the ET could be affected but I suspect it would show ridiculously quick times as well. What's the ET of a jet flying at 600 mph over a 1/4 mi. distance? It was intermittent as all my timeslips show correct speeds so I'm wondering if something blew in front of the first speed sensor and then blew away after awhile. Now if one of those guys had had a vapor disk form around them like jets do when they break thru the sound barrier then I would really have wondered what's up!
