WOW...Travis, the jokes that ran through my mind when I read that.... Jason, are you adding an additional cooler to the factory one? Are you replacing the RAD with a factory replacement?

He's got a tube and fin unit that wouldn't be good enough to do it on its own, and as of now, he doesn't have an aftermarket rad... I think he's just wanting to put a factory unit in there, and plumb the cooler in on the return line.

sinhumane
12-10-2007, 11:40 PM
ehhh.. you said unit.... lol. i think january, if we can find a weekend that its not crappy out, we'll do it. no problemos. :D

I am installing a new radiator from my old job. It's a all metal csf brand radiator.

2TonCat
12-11-2007, 10:21 AM
Is it the same dimensions as your stock radiator? same locations for Tranny input/outputs? I'd rather not bend the hard lines too much if we don't have to.

sinhumane
12-11-2007, 02:32 PM
ehhhhehehhe... you said 'hard line'

yeah, jason was telling me it was an oem replacement... should be a snap! :)

Melon
12-11-2007, 03:52 PM
Before the new radiator goes in, get the lines ready to hook up to the new aux cooler. It'll be easier with it out than waiting til it's back in the car.

Dood... You've got a manual transmission, and a big torquey motor... Get eibachs and KYBs like us, and you'd domniate.

My current problem is... CAR > DRIVER get my meaning, lol?

I dont have experience driving anything other than city streets and freeways in this car. Ive only raced on a drag strip once, and that was in a 4 banger camry (was for fun, dont laugh) and i've never been on an auto x track... I did find out that this car does like to drift a lil bit. Got in it a lil to much on a clover leaf on-ramp, it was fun. :) I've only ever had slow cars, so never got any experience driving fast. i WILL be getting some time in when the local strip opens though

Don't think we're experts lol....

only experiance I have is from thrashing the damn thing, and riding the dirtbike. Oh, and I LOVE go-kart tracks.

If you know your car you will do well, I was worried the 1st time I drove a solo2 & I beat the other 2 drivers in 96/97 LX V8's if only by 1 second. I can make better time if my EVO P/S limiter was choking my quick turns in the zig-zag. Solo2 will let you know how good a driver you are.

I'm VERY anxious to find out how the GT does in the Twisties. The LE had Eibachs, Sport shocks, and the SC sway bars. It had the stock 225/60/16's on it. The GT has the Eibachs and SC sway bars, + KYB shocks, some suspension bracing, and the big, sticky 255/50/17's on it. And if all goes well, by this spring it'll have the 3.55's in it as well. Then we'll see if you can beat this V8. :D

2TonCat
01-16-2008, 02:55 PM
The only thing I'd beat it at is a burnout contest.

In theory, I should be very high 14s if I hook.
