are they available? i remember once someone saying that they found a plain cap from a tempo or taurus,i cant remeber if this is true or if was dreaming it one night....if i could get metal caps,i could get my wheels powdercoated with that liquad chrome stuff and end my wheel woes forever! thanks guys for any info....

I inquired about the same thing over at TCCoA (http://forums.tccoa.com/showthread.php?t=85475&highlight=center) and was told that 89-92 SC wheels had metal center caps. I never did verify it though.

i hear the early style cap is larger than the 93-95,i cant be sure though..im sure someone will know, the local junkyard has a ton of caps on a pile,i may go up there and root around to see if anything will fit, problem will be it may say volvo or something on it...

89-92 center caps will not fit 93-95 wheels. To big.

Interesting. I had just assumed that they were all metal with the exception of the Anniversary black ones (Plastic with a metal retaining ring) I reckon you learn something new every day! I have never owned anything higher than a '90 though (2 Annie 5 Speeds and an '89 5-speed)

I saw your new thread over at TCCoA, ddw. I happen to have a set of 92 SC wheels and 95 SC wheels. I will find out if they are interchangeable for sure this evening. ;)

The early center caps are too big. You are going to have to try something else.

Check SHO wheels also. I remember when I had my 89SHO I put sc wheels on it with the SHO center cap but its been so long I cannot tell you if the SHO caps were plastic or metal

SHO caps are plastic if anyone still cares. I have 3 of them...SHO's not center caps.

im still on the topic! im waiting for it to get warmer out, then im gonna check a few junk yards and look around.i'll take my rim with me,the places i called says"if you see one try it,just put it back if it dont work" i figured i cant go wrong that way...ive bid on a few turbo coupe caps but lost.im gonna try and get just 1 cap, then take the 1 cap and 1 wheel to the powder coat shop and have them do it in the "liquid chrome" and see what it looks like...if it looks good i can proceed with my project,if it looks crappy,i'll put it in the shen with the others and chalk it up as a loss...

I believe that the metal centercaps from the 85-88 tbird wheels will work, the bird logos are slightly smaller but comparing them to my 92 sc wheels they are slightly smaller and will fit 15 inch reg 89- 93 tbird wheels for sure as i am using them on my winter wheels. Yhey should fit the 93-95sc wheels

they are not completely flat like the supercoupe ones but they look ok. They are all metal too
