I have a list of winter mods, one which is new brakes. I got all of my front brakes and SS lines. I still have to order the rears. This will be one of those mods that give better performance and look crazy good behind my wheels.

Great, Ken. I'm glad you finally got them. You'll probably be done installing them by the time I make it back there, but if not, I'll give you hand. :) Speaking of wheels...I think I actually found some that I like...like I like yours. And since Zenetti doesn't make those anymore, I've got to look elsewhere. Here they are:

I'm picking up my daily driver this weekend, so I should be able to make it there to your shop probably after the First.
Can't wait to see those brakes behind those nice Zenetti's!

Very Nice.
That's the one area that needs serious attention on both my cars.

Ken You can use universal clutch cables sold buy companies like Barrnet Eng.
They make clutch plates, etc for motorcycles. You can order two length of clutch cable then cut to the length, install cable universal end. Your local
custom motorcycle shop can help you, if you choose this route.
Your stock E-brake cables will be too short to fit, without binding. With
the use of Cobra style rear brake calipers. The E-brake wheel cables
need to be at least 3 inches longer over the stock cables.

Havent decided on the rear calipers yet. Everyone saids the stock calipers on a SC are larger than the cobra ones. I could save a bunch of bucks if I dont replace the rear calipers. The only advantage I see with new calipers is they would be matching powder coated and new. I do plan to use the bigger rotors that have the drill and slotted pattern. Guess I need to sell more ICs to finiance my parts. If I use relocation brackets for the bigger rotor and stock calipers will the stock E brake cables still work?

I would not know. Ed would know if your using his bracket.
I got the stock E-brake cables hooked up. but they were in a bind.
Plus the stock cables did not work or slid as well as the stainless
steel braided clutch cables. The after market motorcycle cables
I used. Have a stainless steel braided outside, teflon tube inter-liner,
stainless steel cable. They should never corrode or get
sticky and not work, like the old stock cables can be after age...
Bigger brakes, is my favorite mod I did to my SC-Bird. I use Brakes-R-us
parts to. I like the stainless steel E-Brake cables. They go with my
polished rear control arms, knuckels, polished welded trans pan, polished
oil pan, and when I get it installed a polished aluminum rearend pumpkin.
My SC Bird has never ran well when its running. So I gave up on ever
getting this car to even run now. But I have continued to work and mod
parts on my car . I try to work on every part but the engine. Some
day I will have a nice looking SC-Bird . Need to buy a trailer to haul it
on when finish, since I can't tune it, & it do's not run any more because
of the last tune I got..
The worst part of not haveing my car running ,is that I feel and know
that I have the parts to make the most horse power and a car
light enough to give the fastest guy around here a problem. This is with
a stock or modified long block. But then thats why I feel my car is not running.
I am to good at making go fast parts that work.So I will
allways have problems getting a honest tuner for my car. That has
no interrest in detuning cars, to make other vendors blowers
performance to look bad.

I would get the stock calipers powedercoated and rebuilt..
The stock cables will work fine with the adapter brackets if you wanted to use the cobra rotors and fill the wheel space. Otherwise use the stock rotors and call it a day.
Seems you are keeping the stock bolt pattern anyways.

Randy,
Darn it !! You finally uncovered the great SC detuning conspiricy.....I admit it, me and all the other fast guys were so concerned about you making us look bad with the MPIII, we got together and threatened to beat him up if he didn't detune your car

Are you serious? I don't see how it would be worth it, I think the guy working on your car would tune it so it has a good long life. What good is a car that makes 1 pass and then goes POP
good thing for me I'm one of the MPX nut swingers...

Just ordered the relocation brackets from ED I also asked if there were any problems to avoid. I havent ordered the rear discs yet but they will be a match to the front in everything but size. I dont want switch bolt patterns as Im happy with my wheels. I havent seen anyone yet running these on a SC. I will see about the cables Randy suggested as I want to upgrade everything I can. I dont even use the hand brake but might want to someday. I think the brakes will look fantastic behind my 18" wheels and the extra stopping power should feel great. Just wish I could get at least one of my winter projects done. They are all in some state of progress but none done. Im waiting for rear rotor bearing on the blower, Paint on the sail panels to finish my manual seatbelt conversion and closing in on my new fan shroud.

Sounds like more work and money going that route, then poweder coating the stock ones and rebuilding them. As long as its red no one is going to know any change in shade of red.
