ZR1 is back

It looks as if a Honda club got a hold of this thing, but I'd sure love to drive it. The embargo just lifted and the pics are fair game.

This is the 100,000 plus vette thats been running around the past year. Whats new is they are calling it the zr1..I was expecting something different actually maybe a zr1 type engine of old (but refined). I heard GM is going OHC soon..Any work on that>?

Anything is possible, but I think GM has too much invested in the LS motor family to seriously pursue OHC development on V-8 engines right now. Besides, OHV seems to be working pretty well for GM!

Lets not forget cadillac. That brand is full of DOHC engines. They could have thrown in the caddy supercharged engine in the vettle and call it a ZR1.
But I am sure this will be a torque monster with the SC and the nature of OHV.

wow but now dodge who wont be beat will blow or turbo the 600 hp viper and make it 700 or more hp ive seen 1100 hp turbo vipers then chevy will up the vette then dodge then the government will step in and stop it all jsut likein 70s .. cars are way too fast . nowadays

The Viper has already been slower than the Ford GT and Z06 for some time now. I don't think we'll see much from the Viper soon. Dodge has its big investment in the Challenger at the moment.

FYI 08 Viper is quicker and handles better than both, they will come back you wiat and see LOL

Beautiful car,it would still be a hard choice between new 600 hp Viper and new 620-650hp ZR1 vette.

Sweet cars. I almost can't even fathom that kind of power. I think a stock 03-04 Cobra is still a lot of car for the streets!

I'm just not a Corvette kind of guy. I'm more of a guy that owns a Chevelle SS with real Magnesium mag wheels and raised white letter tires. And yes, it has the cowl induction hood with the little flip up thing. Better yet, maybe it's the el'camino SS version. Got stuff to haul.
