I have been spending more time working on my SC since I lost my job. Last Night I was working on pulling the high pressure line for the power steering. I let my tools slip off my battery and some how my tool tray grounded the neg side of my battery and hit some solenoid....I dont have a e brake so I had the car in second gear...The car took off and knocked my on my butt and drug me 6-8 feet until it pinned me like a sandwich between the front of my SC and the back of my F150.................

so I didn't get my PS fixed but I did manage to put a dent in my SC and my truck...

Wowwww

One bad SC day one good thing no matter how bad it seams your ok car's can be replaced but you cant. All this aside hope you have a Happy and safe Christmas and New years from all of us in California. Strange things can happen you just dont know when and how

That sounds like something out of a final destination movie! You probably connected the starter relay on the fender. It's a pretty stupid place for one to be for us guys who use the fenders for tool shelves!

I used rubber undercoating on my inner finders, just so tools dont slide around:D It looks good too:rolleyes:

Maybe thats why every procedure in the service manual tells you to disconnect the battery.

Whew scarry.. tell me that you ALWAYS use jack stands and chock the wheels. I spend quite a bit of time underneath 2 of my SCs and I'm always fearful of it falling on me. It may take 10 minutes more to get it all leveled and blocked, but there is absolutely nothing about a SC thats worth dying over.
