Also, I know that everyone can’t attend each meet but it would be nice if we could pick out 1 or 2 events that we could all attend.

We've got to have our summer meet as well. I couldn't make last summer's because of my treatments, but would make one this next summer for sure. It's not that far of a drive for us NE folks. I had a great time a couple years ago and am looking forward to it again. I know I'm not going to have enough money for all the stuff (I'm getting some wheels finally) but will really try to make it to a couple things. What do you guys think about coming up to maybe Omaha for a larger meet? Just wondering about that. It's a drive for some of the southern KS guys, but we might get more IA guys there.

Whatever it is, keep us updated so we all know what's going on!

The "Club Clash" is held in Earlville, Iowa. I think they have one in the spring and one in the fall but I am not sure. See the Club Clash post in the Iowa Forum. No dates set yet but the challenges are already being posted!

The VTKC is The Vintage Thunderbirds, Kansas City Chapter. They put on several shows at different locations including Johnny Rays.

Yeah - the Club Clash is the SC Club of IA vs Iowa Grand Prix GTP club and it's racket racing. It doesn't matter if you have a 12 sec car or a 16 sec car - you may still win. I've been to one and had a good time.

so its a recent development then.... how much power do u think your makin?

Most of Ryan's power he has now is due to gears, transmission, and stall. If I remember right, his engine is pretty much stock except for maybe a tune now? Same place as where my power is - 4.10 gears, J-Mod, and tune.

I asked Jim @ Renegade Racing to build me a motor that would hold strong at 11psi and make 330hp to the wheels (From my calculations, 330hp is the amount needed to be a mid/high 12 in a car with my drivetrain).

Since then, I've discovered that my "3.33" pulley is really either a "3.12" or "2.82" (not sure which). Stock pulley size on a vortec is "3.60" and thats' 8 psi.

So i'll only rev it to 6k or 5800 instead of 6500 like I planned.

The Iowa group posted the club clash dates. To bad the one in May is the same weekend as Dyno Disaster Day in Lincoln. I am already committed to going there.

The one in the fall is 2 weeks before the Shootout.
