How many of you guys and gals have sent this guy money and got junk in return??? Maybe it is time to put a stop to this kind of ripe off. The hood I got from him is not the right lenght,or my fenders grew?? for the car. After having TWO body men work on it for over ten hours they were able to get it to close. You still can't use the wipers and the hood latch had to be moved up one inch with a adaptor to make it work. I have gotten junk before from people, but this one tops them all. It would be good to hear from all the other people who have been down this same road... It would also be great if this was posted to stay on the top of the list for a while so everyone can see just what kind of junk he is selling. Feel free to post either way on this or you can take it off line and go to bruhn@execpc.com if you want...Rich

i agree, thats why i havent gotten a hood yet for my car, even though i need one due to an accident. cerveni is the only one that ive seen that actually makes the hood correctly. i dunno what the hell is wrong with the nutcases over at legendary but they can kiss my a$$ if they think im going to shell out that much cash for one of thoes pieces of crap.

I have the 97 cobra R hood and I had the same problems with the wipers and latch. Also the front of the hood dosen't seem to come down far enough to meet the bumper. It cracked the cowl since it is poorly made! I now have to grind away so that the wipers work and so that the cowl can be put back on the car.
I called the owner about the hood latch and the wiper thing. He made it sound like these were normal problems that should be expected. I would think that the hood latch could stay in the stock location, instead of grinding and moving it so it looks like s%#$ when you open the hood. The wiper clearence issue was stributed to the movement of the mold when it was made! I work with fiberglass every day and I think this is just a poorly engineered product!!
I won't even get into the pin holes!!!!!!

There were four other people with the same hoods at the nats. this past weekend and all of them were the same poor fit. One guy told how he had to rebuild half the hood to make it work right. Everyone that I talked to said the same thing, this is not a good product, and it is not just one style of hood either. Even the pics. that they sent me before I spent the money show the hood is not a great fit. I guess that maybe I should have looked a bit closer at them before I sent off that money.Bottom line unless they really change this will be the last thing I waste my money on from them...I just hope that others look really hard at what they sell before, and even ask for some names from people who have already gotten something from them....Rich

I sent this thread to Rick Stock. He had the '96 Sport w/ground FX & won second in his class at the nats. He has one of their hoods. I helped him put it on. It was an all day job, just to get the hood to close. The hood wasn't square either. It was like one side was pushed forward, & the other side was pushed back. Horrible, HORRIBLE fit!!!!!!!!!! The hood bolt recesses were filled with fiberglass & in the wrong position. The thickness of the fiberglass was inconsistant, half an inch in one place, quarter inch in another. I could go on & on, but I'll let Rick take over ranting.

I like the look of those hoods, and i was going to put one on my 92 SC but maybe I'll look elsewhere. I wish Cervini's made a damn cobra R cowl hood.

Does anyone make a 2/2-1/4" Cowl hood for the 90-93 SC's? I want to get a Cowl hood for mine, but dont like the ram air cervinis hood.

Gee, and people ask me, "Why didn't you use an aftermarket glass hood when you did the 1997 headlight conversion on the car ??"
Because I wanted to bolt it on with no f&*king around !! That's worth a few extra hundred $$ to me.
I've been involved in various aspects of the automotive parts industry for about 20 years now, including working at a performance shop chain in the Toronto area, and the lack of quality on some aftermarket custom and performance parts still appalls me. Too often that latest shiny widget is just an overpriced piece of s*#t !!
