new SC owner

[95CaliSC]

Hey guys,

I just bought myself a 95 auto SC with 102k original miles. Ive had three MN12's but this is my first SC. I test drove one new in 95 but couldn't afford it then:D. Course my wife says we can't afford this toy now:p. I look forward to getting advice/browsing the forums.(awaiting membership processing).

Quick funny story, I took the new ride to a local shop to smog and change the sc pulley from a 10% back to stock *as I live in CA air is dense and dont wanna blow my head anytime soon*. When they were fitting it back on they broke the supercharger. Anyways, now I'm getting a rebuild for 100 bucks. Don't know if this is foreshadowing of things to come or I got lucky with a near free rebuild, haha. Glad to be aboard tho. :cool:

I would not go back to that shop. That's a pretty easy job. Open up the exhaust and keep the car running as cool as you can by getting a 180* thermostat and set the low speed fan to go on sooner you will feel better about not blowing headgaskets. Welcome aboard and get ready to get dirty.
