Just picked up a 90 SC black from Bruce aka Hosehead (former Ryan's car). Dropped it off at me mechanic's place and got home around 1 am. Tired but optimistic
Will keep you guys updated!

Well done, Payton. I'm sure that Ryan will be happy to hear that shell is going to be the recipient of a kick-azz drivetrain. Are you hoping to have it ready for the spring?

cheers

Hey Dzmitry - Really glad to hear that you are on your way to getting back on the road again!! I think your going to like driving around in a black SC. They just seem a little meaner then the other colors. Like the Grand Nationals, Impala's, Mauraders.. etc..

If you get the beast back on the road this winter - take it a little easier on my old Snow Tires this time. LOL

I hope to fire it up some time this week or next one, as soon as I get a new tune from the Doctor Dave:rolleyes:
It might take some more time actually, because I am also swapping suspension from my old car, upgrading brakes, changing to 92+ gas tank, fixing up the exhaust, taking some weight off, some cosmetic touch ups, back in the Tbird game to be short)
And it won't see winter again. One mistake was enough for me:rolleyes::mad:

Glad you got everything sorted out.

Here's the update: we dropped the engine/tranny. Tomorrow I am going to take everything possible off the car so we can send her to her final destination. Hopefully that Wednesday we can install all the goodies where they belong and deal with the gas tank, exhaust situation and hope that chip from Dave arrives so we can fire it up.

Payton Nice job, Did you add those aluminum spacers on your subframe to lower the engine? Are they 3/4" or 1" ?

Erik, you'd better off asking David since he was doing installation for me

Now ... with a black SC you're going to wish that you passed on the AC delete and used some of those extra ponies to keep the sweat off your butt. Take it from me, I have two black SC's and I think of AC as mandatory!

Haha, talk to my wife - she is boss of the XR7 (black on black leather) and when we lived in Texas the AC went out on it. She was 9 mo pregnant (June-July) and we couldn't afford repairs so.... the rest is history. To this day the car doesn't have working AC and she doesn't even want it fixed anymore. LOL!

"Every man has a plan, until he gets punched in..."
For some reason I just find this quote funny. Payton, I guess you got "punched in" huh? :D

Sorry, don't mean to be an a$$, just can't help seeing the irony in that statement. :p
