If you read the Wheels section in the Toronto Star yesterday you will see that it is not a criminal offence to warn others of a speed trap.

The cops are worse than the criminals, and they say they do it for our safety. It is only about the money but they have no morals either.

I have often wondered about that. The only thing I can think of is that you might be interfering with an officer's ability to do his job kind of like obstruction of justice or something but I have no idea either way.

Nice to read a story where someone got his just desserts against the popo though.

Thats small time stuff... imagine how all us folks feel out here when the cops actually support folks breaking federal laws like terroism, and criminal assault.

Here is Tennessee, someone got a ticket for doing the same thing, he took it to court and rightly won. Thats one for us.

Okay...now look at it THIS way. Some jackhole is driving like an arse down the road. You are thinking "where is a cop when you need one". All of a sudden he starts driving like he has sence and goes past a cop who would have busted his dumbarse and made YOUR day.

Everyone says it..."Where is a cop when you need one?'' right? Yet everyone wants to help those mopes driving the other way.

The reason it is illegal to "flash" your lights is because it is illegal to have your brights on to oncoming traffic 300' from them and 500' from the rear moving the same way.

I don't know what to tell you guys. Much more drivers do that backhome. Chris, I have about 10-15 buddies of mine that are cops AND MOST OF THEM TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE CONSTANTLY going over the limit. However they never get a ticket because they have a badge. Same applies to paramedics and firefighters.

Flashing ones head lights to on coming traffic is used as a warning of something unusal ahead; pay attention. There are many instances where one would flash headlights, police radar is just one of them. I think this is a good thing but maybe not for the police, though they have other means to catch speeding vehicles.

a trap is a trap, and you do what you can to help the other guy out. It impresses me when the guy coming at me gives me the free advise. Nobody likes to be that guy that comes down over the hill on a sunday afternoon to see a cop clocking them at 10 over on the way to grandma's house.

People who driving like idiots, eventually will get whats coming to them. I just get irritated by how our society relys on speeding tickets and other various tickets each month. We all give tons of money each month by paycheck, how much more do they need to make them happy?

Guess thats why they call them city and county roads though, because they own them. It is our privilage, not our right, to use them. In this day of age you have to use them though, which makes things unfortunate.

Issuing tickets is the number one law enforcement priority in Ontario.
Fundamental rule of economics: follow the money trail. Anytime someone tells you it's not about the money, it's about the money.
At Blue Mountain they're giving $75 parking tickets to people for allegedly parking in a fire zone that isn't a fire zone.
