Not going the first 2 weeks its open. I'd rather not spend $20 to get one run.

Yeah - that's the way it was at our local 1/4 track when it was open. Earlier in the season, it was difficult to get more than a run or two in because everyone and their dog was there. Later in the season, or catch a cold evening, and the track was clear.

MoKan is rarely so busy I can't get at least 10 runs in. Unless of course its a big weekend like "Fords Invade MoKan" then its packed.

And of course its busier on the days they have Bracket racing to.

I'd love to go, but I just pulled the Chip, and put the original MAF back in. I wouldn't get the best of times that way. Besides, gotta get some things done here this weekend.

Jason and I are both shooting for 14s.... I don't know that I'll get it... I'm a PI intake in deficit of what I need, and I'm running 18s ;) Low 15s shouldn't be difficult.

Jason should be in the 14s if he hooks.

Hope to see some of you out there1

Good luck guys and be safe :)

Ryan, if you get 14's, i'm going for deep in the 13's hehe. We'll see.

Jason, if you dont get 13's, you should get a lentech trans and a good ~3000 stall convertor. Then a 94/95 blower (you could steal tyler's, hehe) and overdrive it. :D

I hope to get the dohc next weekend, do some datalogging to make sure she's got a decent a/f reading, then drive the wheels off it. :) Ahhhh, me want dohc. [/random bs]

Melon

With what Jason has done now, I don't see him hitting 13's for a while. He'll need a better blower, heads/cam, or a big shot of N2O. 14's are a possibility, but high 14's probably.

Don't know enough on the 4.6's to guess as to Ryan getting 14's or not :D

I'm with Brad - you should get a good convertor and really get a Lentech. I haven't found anyone yet who doesn't like theirs, including me. I like mine in my 91 - just wish it was running right so I could enjoy it.

I fixed it, i meant to say 14's, i'm tired, lol.

and i mentioned the trans, cuz his was a wee bit soft on the 1-2 at part throttle. no offense jason, just some free advice, take it or leave it. :)

Or you mean you got 6 runs in? And hope you was able to fix the heater hose before you left so you could get the cat home easily. I was wondering how well things had gone.. What about Jason? What kind of times did he run?

Re-read that ya schmuck.. I was questioning the distance of the track, not the ET. Once I would get confirmation on the length of the track, then I would question the ET. I'm fairly sure Ryan's car isn't that quick. I would blame it on track malfunction with the lights, timer, and whatnot.

what's the word on the fire jackets for this year? I did get your phone message. Sorry, been having some problems to work out lately. Not been real social to everyone. Need some nice days to work on the car again!

thunderbird96
03-02-2008, 09:39 PM
you don't need the fire jacket's danny if it's a stock supercharged car.

They don't make you have one unless you run 13s or if its a non-factory power adder.

So besides getting your a** handed to you by a MoPar, what did the vid prove?

I can't read the time, and I haven't seen any times that either of you could run on a 1/4 mile track anyway. And you have already said that neither of you were going to tell us what your times were.

Jason and I were pretty evenly matched this time. It was fun!

We both made a considerable gain over last season, and ended up .1 from eachother. There was only a .2 mph difference in our runs too.

The SC got HOT. It would have been faster if it had been cooler.

The Cougar had traction issues, and blew up :( I wheelhopped it twice by launching too hard. Cut a 2.0 60' though, so that was an improvement.

If we have some warm nights this week, I'm going to try and build a methanol kit for jason so he can get lower into the 14s.
