Stalls when braking

My boost guage has not been working since i believe the summer. Finally got around to figuring out why today and it was because it was disconnected at the port it slides onto. I put it back on and took the car for a drive and the car ran rough and will stall out once i stop the car. It also seems to run rougher now to.

Is it because the it has to relearn having that connection connected again or is there another problem somewhere else that i have to find?

I think it's just of matter of needing to relearn the idle after fixing the vacuum leak.

Suggest disconnecting the negative battery cable for an hour or so, then reconnect and start it up, not touching the gas pedal and give it a couple minutes to adjust.

if its not that. then try your alternator.

i had that problem for months and couldnt figure it out. turned out to be the alternator.
