Lowering Springs & No Hop project

Part of my winter projects is put a uncut set of Suspension Techique springs on the car. To bring back a smooth ride since I am getting older and the low ridding is getting alittle too old for me. :(
The rears are uncut and the reason why I cut the fronts is to give it stace.....And I knew if I did not like it I could just buy the fronts from JCWittney since they sell them as a front and rear set. And not the usual complete kit.

At the start of my winter projects. I almost bought the front springs for my car. $75 dollars plus a free shipping coupon. But I hessitated and kinda forgot, So I bought other things instead of buying them.

Well now I go and try to buy them and they seem to no longer offer them.
I called and they are going to try to see if they special order them.
But have little hope.

Have you tried this place? I just ordered a set, we'll see if they call me and say if they can't get them...

Where did you order them from.

I think JC whittney offered an exclusive to them only. They are were gray and you can order front and rears separate. Two diff part #s same springs

All other vendors that I know of sells them a a complete kit.

I already have the rear ones They are unmolested. I just need the fronts.
And JcWhitney had them in a front and rear set. Still no response from them :(

Maybe its the SC Gods asking me to spend more money on the suspension.

Maybe Mercutio will have good input on this.

What if i toss the ARC suspension out and sell the Illuminas and Keep the rear ST spring and get a slick set of QA1 for the fronts for my car.

What would be a good combination for this set up Valving and Springs?
And rear shocks.

I might have found a buyer for the rear springs.

I might springs for some Konis which the higher rate on these springs need. and put the matching cut ST springs that I ran a few years back.
I will still be slammed but the stiffer shocks should control the springs better.

It seems like this is not a Hot topic anymore. Any input.

Then yoru SC will feel like my mustang. Are you going towards drag racing or handeling. That will lead you better. Also..New springs would be a cheaper alternative then the coil over setup:D

Well I cheaped out and dont think I am getting the KONIs. Keeping the Illuminas. So I decided to get a no so stiff spring since the Illuminas could not control the Suspension Techniques very wel.

I sprung for some Intrax since they seem to be stiffer then eibachs and H&R but are progressive. So the ride should be nice. I also wanted the lowest so the advertised 2" sold me on it, I think they need to settle for the 2" to happen. Most people I see taking pictures they seem to lower 1.6" to 1.75 in the front. The rear seems to be an issue with most people installing them since the advertised 1.6" in the rear ends up being 2" drop. To fix that problem I am waiting for Polyurethane spring isolators. I am only doing the bottom first and see where I land. I run air bags too so that will hopefully get me the rake look back. If thats not enough then another set of polys isolators should def do it. I doubt I will need that much.

So no more super slammed look, just a little slammed. :D

I am also waiting for other poly bushings to finish the installation. Part of the get rid of HOP project. ;)

nickleman60 you never replied to my PM but thats Ok I still got them. ;)

Notice the STs dont have tight coils due to the liner design. Ill miss them :(
