Pulling the plugs backs your timing off, its doesn't maximize your timing. Maximizing your timing requires a tune and dyno time, cause if you go over the edge just a little, kaboom!
Messing with base timing is not a good idea, as the EEC actually assumes your base timing is set to 10 degrees and this is used in ALOT of calculations that control fuel and not just spark timing.
