Has anyone used a shorty glide W/brake. hook to a 3.8SC engine?
Anyone have any pointers on the build and buying of parts to hook
the two together..

Thanks Randy

Hey Randy

Since the 3.8 has the same bellhousing pattern as a small block Ford V8, there are probably units available that are ready-made for the swap. You would just have to get the flexplate with the proper balancing, not sure about the starter though ...

What does Kevin have in his car, a Powerglide, or a C4?

cheers
Ed N.

Hi Randy
Here is a link Click
Page 7 has the "ultrabell" bellhousing for Fords.

Thanks for the bolt pattern info ED. I thought they were the same
but I was not sure about this.

Thanks for the link .SCvidar

It has (quote from owner) shorty glide with/brake. I don't
know what he means by SHORTY glide. I am going to look at
it this weekin.

Its a 180'' dragster hooked to a small block chevy.
Ford 9'' rear end, its a complete turn key car. just
has the wrong power plant.

I believe there were 'short' glides and 'long' glides the shorter being the better case and well... its shorter...

Hi All
They make shorty C4's too :D. On the Shorty Race-PG's the tail housing
is just a bearing holder. It's in the JW catalog I refered too.
