my bud just got a 87 3L toyota supra with the motor done up with an exhaust, block bored .20 over, and aftermarket cams. this thing is fast, it just so happins last night there was a red light and we were side by side. i reved up my stock SC with only a cold air intake. i thought i was gona get beat. supprisingly the SC hooked up pretty good off the line but the supra had me by about a car length. third gear i caught him the SC seemed pretty constant producing steady power. he pulled away when he hit high rpms where his car was making peak power but then i caught up when he shifted. fourth gear wide open we were side by side. the race was pretty much even i was supprised that my SC was doing so well. we both slowed when we saw a car in the distance. it was a good race he says hes going to get more mods on his car to beat me. what do you guys think i should do to my car to keep up, i dont know what hes going to do, but im thinking an exhaust and a 10% overdrive pully will keep me in the game what do you guys think.

Exhaust is always a good idea on our cars as far as the 10% pulley goes it kinda depends. What year is your SC and what's the mileage?

i have a 1990 SC 5 speed with 180,000 kms on it, do you think it could handle those upgrades without blowing a headgasket or something

Had a freind in Mexico once about 6 years ago when i had my Roadmaster limited, that had an na 3.0 89 Supra 5 speed, we lined up a few times and each time I would just pull away with ease (multiple car lengths (gotta love a good LT1 :D). Given his was stock, but happy, he was not LOL.
