When I initially read this, I thought it was a hoax, but with the company confirming it, and them making a public statement about it later today...:(

Hell of a car builder but i could never have worked with a person like that. He was a real pain in the rear to his guys.

Sorry to here but Boyd was far from the perfect boss. I'm surprised some of his past employees haven't sued him or Dwayne (shop foreman) for the way they were treated, Dwayne needed an ~~~kicking from the 1st show. However I thought that they turned out some cool rides and he did start a new cutting edge in hotrod design that many now copy.

You dont understand Show Bizzzzzzzz there not like that in real life its all put on to make the show more interesring like OCC American Chopper show there always fighting its all to get viewers to watch to see what happens next. What you see on the big screen is not what is taking place when the camera's are off when the real work takes place

Take it from me a Mr Hollywood :-) its all Show Bizzzzzzzzzzzz

And on Sunday, Li'l John Buttera, the hot rod builder who first hired Boyd, passed away. For my money I would have rather had a Buttera car but to each his own.

I got a car from him years ago. He was fine with me on the deal. The whole time we worked together was a good time. If he said something, it would happen just the way he said it would. The car hobby will miss him.....Rich

RIP Boyd!!!

Some get so wrapped up in these forums that they apparently lose sight of just showing some simple respect. For example.....THE DEAD!!??? Come on now...Is this really the time and place to air out your opinions of a guy (in this case a LEGEND) that just recently passed on??

Not tryin' to step on any toes but come on...??
