First time out

11.97et at 111mph on ( N20 ) what was your 60ft time and 1/8 mile mph? Nice looking car. The looks of the plugs not good looks like you hurt the motor as well on that run

Chris,

Are you retarding the timing when using nitrous ? For a 100 hp shot I take out 5 degrees. I'm also using Denso IT20 iriduim plugs.

David

PS: 12.14 @ 114 is great.

i think it was old gas that did it not enough octane, been in the car since november 1st.

I'm gonna do compression and leak down tonite to see if anythings hurt, I don't think it is. No smoke and still runs ok.

Its was on my n2o tune but i think it was the gas. I will use race gas from now on when i use n2o.

I didn't hit it right off the line so the 60's wheren't as good as without it. I hit it after 2nd the first time and went a 7.7 8th at 92mph i think and hit it at 3k the second time and went 7.59 in the 8th at 95mph. the 60's on the n20 were 1.83 area being the tune had less advance and more fuel without the gas being on off the line.

The wheels are off of my dads marauder. I think i had traction issues last year or else the marauder converter is helping more than the mark 8 converter. I was pulling 1.78 60's on saturday. last year i could only get low 1.9's and maybe a high 1.8. those are the wheels he had widened out to 9" and the fronts were narrowed to 5".

I'm gonna throw colder plugs in it too.

I'm trying to get into the 11's without n2o this year. I think I can do it. I have one more thing to throw at it in the next couple weeks.

Chris,

Looks like you already have the MPH/power to run high 11s without the nitrous...just need to lower that 60 ft time a little. What rpms are you shifting ? Shifting manually or letting the computer do it ?

Yeah Scrapsc we need to line them up. I was hoping for that race at the shootout last year but my crap fell apart so I couldn't make the eliminations.

David, yup just need a 1.6x 60' and I'll be there. I let it shift auto and its set at 6k shifts.

Thanks Ken.

I like those MM wheels. They look sick.

The car ran really well. I nearly had to beat him over the head to get him to use the 28" tires. I think that and the converter change for now has him getting those 1.7's out of the hole.

Car runs really strong and MPH's well down track. I think there's a good bit more left in it.

Some good fuel and more converter along with some other tweeking and its right on schedule for mid to low 11's.

Good Job on Saturday Chris. :D

BTW I got some video of a couple of your passes on VHS!!!!;)
