Here is what Duane has posted on the earlier post about this summer's events. Duane and I talked about this before he posted and it is based off of what we learned from going to the 2007 Shootout. I won't be able to make the meeting on the 15 because I already know I am working that weekend until at least 4:00.

SC Shootout
Dates: September 26-28
Location: Xenia, Ohio (Near Dayton)
Departure: Tentative Schedule - Leave KC at 1:30 pm on Sept. 25th and stay the night some where east of St. Louis. Arrive in Dayton on the 26th.

I already have my vacation time scheduled for these days!:D

What's all on the agenda?

Jim and I have spoken a little on what we would like to do. In years past I have always rolled in with the St. Louis crew so I would like to keep with that theme. Anyway, they're a bunch of cool guys and it's neat to see 4 trailered SC's rolling down the road. Since we are 4 hours west of St. Louis, we talked about leaving Thursday night and staying some place on the other side of St. Louis (probably in IL) so we can meet up with the St. Louis crew when they head out Friday morning.

Well, I know for sure that Jim and I are going and I'm pretty sure (99.9%) that we will be leaving on that Thursday, probably, sometime in the afternoon.

You can have a canopy in the car show and I would recommend it. Bring extra chairs and you don't have to carry a lot of cash because the Shoot fee covers lunch at the car show, racing at the track and dinner that night. You still need to carry some cash but you don't need $500 in spending money. Now, $500 might pay for everything if you use cash for your gas and your extra spending money.

I can't make it this weekend. Just remember, we plan to leave out on Thursday so keep that in mind. Make sure to schedule your time off work and have everything arranged.

I can make the meet about the meet, I don't know about the shootout. If they would move Ohio around the country & have alternative events like auto-X & delegate the planning.
