OK group, what has everyone managed to get done, modify or finish up over the winter months?

On the blue SC I have installed both new lower hinges. I removed the old vent air intake from under the cowl and installed a newer version from a 93 model. I pulled the VMM and rebuilt the case so it will stay in the dash. I am in the process of pulling out all the seats so I can clean the carpet and work on the interior plastic pieces. I will be taking the front bumper cover off next week to get the lower mounting tabs repaired. Some new engine, drive train and suspension parts to be ordered the beginning of next week.

The white SC is still setting on the other side of the garage. I might have an idea to try so I am just trying to figure out how to make it happen.

I know this will be tough but let's try to keep this one on topic.

Hehe, I haven't done near enough. Good to hear atleast someone is still out in the trenches raising hell!

I swapped exhausts with Andy. Love the sound of the new one, but its still not quite aligned right.

Joel and I went to the junkyard, and found some infinity speakers. My stereo is underpowered though, and couldn't run them well... Joel lent me 2 out of #1 so I have some beats.

I blew up my heater hose, replaced that, and put a good deal of new coolant in it.

Jason and I stole some parts off of the new motor, and put them on. It was worth it. Parts dont' do any good just sitting there :)

I have spent countless hours fixing my brakes and have got nothing done:(

The 94 has sat over the winter and comes out on decent days :D I want to get the dent fixed, but need some money to roll in first. When the weather warms up, and stays warm - I'm going to replace the speakers and have some bushings to replace.

The 96 lost it's exhaust (see Ryan's post), otherwise I just drive it :D

And the truck? Come on, what I want to do with it - I really can't afford... *cough*supercharger*cough* haha :D

Well, I'll have a Mustang GT MAF Its not exactly an upgrade, but I just feel better with it. Besides, it fits into the "GT" theme better. :D (04 GT Airbox, MAF, TB, Plenum, manifold, heads...)

I've got a new RSTB from Rod, and I'll have the 3.55's in May. Plus the tune of course.

I finally ditched the stock style cassette deck in the XR7, replacing it with a JVC KD-AR7500. We also made up a driveshaft safety loop and installed it. That's about it.

Finally? I would have ditched it a long time ago - especially if I drove it alot. I've got a tape player in the 96 (cuz I thought it was going to be sold a while ago) and when I do drive it, it drives me nuts because I don't have anything that's new - it's all atleast 5-6 years old.

Yeah, the XR7 only has 4,217 miles on it. Plus, I find that I don't really listen to the stereo that much when driving that car. :) Nevertheless, being able to listen to MP3 CD's will be great for some of the longer annual cruises/trips that I take the car on.

Assuming that's 4200 miles since the new motor?

That's a good point. When I take the 94, I enjoy the sound of the exhaust - especially in town. But yeah, MP3 CD's are great to have on trips.

That's 4,217 miles since I first put the car together a few years ago (with the NA 4.6L DOHC). When the car went together, the odometer started at 0. The new motor (SC'd 5.0L DOHC) went in at 3,401 miles.

I'm going to be needing an LC-1 as well. I've used one before and was happy with its performance... We didn't have it in for long though, so can't speak for durability... After we got it running on WOT and cruising with o2 correction, we took it out for the winter.

Finally decide to tune it yourself?

Removed, MPII, 10% JS Alum, 42s, SCP Under drives, EEC and 76mm C&L.

Need to install, MPX, 60s, 80mm C&L, 25% OD pulleys and find stock size, but lighter pulleys for WP and Alt.

I changed out the radiator & belt on my silver 92 today. May have HG problems again, too. We'll see.

Well, last night I installed new red release inserts on the passive seat belt clips on both sides. Then I installed a newer door panel on the passenger side that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. I reinstalled the passenger side seat after cleaning the carpet. Then I pulled all the vents from the dash to get the leaves out. Tonight I get to try and straighten out the aftermarket stereo wiring.

Sending the blower case to a machinest to have bigger rear bearings installed. Gotta take a break for a while as I have a few projects for other people that need to be finished. Hope the blower can get done soon, with a spot of good weather we are having, I want to start it up and see what it will do. Also have to pick up a cone filter and install it. Giving up on the K&N panel filter

I don't envy what you are having to do. I have already done 2 ABS Master Cylinder replacements and I will be replacing a third ABS unit in the blue SC in a couple weeks. Yes they are a pain in the butt!

Ken, as always, you are creating some really great parts. I hope that I am still able to make the "Dyno Disaster Day" and see it in person.

Danny, any word on your radiator/head gasket issue?

Well, it seems to be doing better. Running cooler for sure. Now to find the noise problem. Sort of sounds like a box of rocks in there. Yeah, want to make the dyno days too.

I’m having my intake tube, alternator and SC coolant box powder coated. Dressing up with chrome radiator and heater hoses. Then having the strut caps painted the same color as the car. As for the interior I plan on painting the dash surround the same color as the car, chrome shifter button, gauges above the radio and windows tinted. RSTB from Rod too, can’t forget that! Smaller pulley just before the SC Shoot out. Slowly working on a forged block, should be done spring of next year.

Hehe, I've got the smaller pulley and forged motor... I just hope one doesn't destroy the other :D

I'm going to buy a megasquirt knock sensor and see if I can rig it up to a visual warning. Maybee hit a relay that illuminates the gagues red or something....
