89-93 heads vs 94-95?

I looked but didn't find anything on whether or not there is a difference from the 89-93 heads compared to the 94-95 Heads>>>>??????
I have a set of 91 SC heads i want to port and have checked but not if my 94 heads are going to be better! Thanks for any input!!
 
I heard a few people say there was a small differince in the early vs. late heads, but like Mike...they look to be identical to me.

I was under the impression that the only difference was the bolt pattern for the valve covers, and that if you are going to swap heads to the different generation, you need to swap the valve covers too.
 
No, the difference is in the heat treating. You won't tell the difference based on just looking at them. Valve cover pattern is identical.
