Please dude, thats a steal even if he doesnt have it running. The parts alone for that are waaaaaaay worth it. I promise it's something stupid he forgot to do correctly. I bet in one weekend with the guys together working on that we could have it doing 13's. If anyone gets screwed on that deal it'd be him, not you.

Joel's right about the parts alone (the transmission, converter and gears) being worth the trade... but the DOHC swap isn't as difficult as people make it. Swap it in, convert YOUR wiring to connect to it, have tune made with the stock DOHC parameters, done.

If its screwed up as bad as it sounds (IDK How) I wouldn't want to have to tow it back to MO after it blows up half way, and then swap in a new motor.

I'm not gonna trade my car for one that may or may not be drivable, if i had money to offer him, it'd be different, but i just cant justify trading my car off (i have well over 100 hours in it) for his now that i know it has "problems"

If he gets a Super Coupe, he'll end up with just as many issues as that DOHC has at the moment. Super Coupes can be picky unless you leave them bone stock.
