You could probably get away with welding it and remachine to press the bearing, OR toss it and get an MPX. But it will probably have the same issues as the MP111. The crack will probably give some and let your rotor collide with the housing, NO GOOD.

How did you find the problem?

If you bought the blower from Charles, He could possibly work something out with you. I hope this not the first signs of many more blowers to come.:(

Worst that will happen is you spin the bearing out, causing the rotors to collide and eat themselves up to a screaching halt. SO I would totally roll that.

Seriously, I would continue to use it as is. But I would probably mark the bearing to case so I can inspect it every so often for movement.

the problem is linked to the porting on the new mpx the port is thick in this area so it may be a sort of common problem or why would they change it.

The crack in the bearing boss, bottom side.

Thats bad

We had the same problem with the first generation MP3 cracking the bearing bosses. We found that it was from putting to much tension on the blower snout drive thus making the rotors push out in the back of the case. There is not enough suport to run very much belt tension as it heats up heads grow and at high RPM it puts a big load on it after Charles fixed the case we changed our tension never had any issues like you are having now
