I got a mostly stock 4.6L in my tbird and I wanna put PI heads and a intake manafold (which needs replaced anyways) on. would the heads off of a mustang work? and does it matter what year mustang they came off of or are all 4.6L's basically made the same so any head will bolt on...?

But yes you can use any mustang SOHC PI head and cam set 99 to 04.

Depending on weather you get a ROmeo or A Windsor head will depends on what modification you "may" "HAVE" to do timing cover wise..Youll also want the mustang PI intake

Also you can do just teh PI intake swap from a nice gain without touching the heads

so i have to look for 99 - 04 heads and not heads from like a 96 style stang?
 
96 stang heads are just what you have now..wont do a thing for ya.

If I were you find a 99-04 mustang PI intsake an dput that on...Cheap easy to do and a noticable difference
