How things changed
NHRA is number 1 in safty requirements as they improved over the years to help protect the drivers just look at this photo below. How safe is that? no funny car type roll cage no fire suite just t-shirt chutes in a bad area to deploy 100% correct. In the early stages we dident know better now days we are thankful for NHRA's efforts to help protect us the best they can
This is West Coast old Fremont Raceway bet it was fun in the old flag man days

Amazing....What a ride that had to be in that car...Yikees....
I still like seeing the old skool guys showing up today to race with their front engine dragsters.......Its crazy but it still seems that pro race car drivers at all levels still accept death as part of the game...Probably the only sport...Yet most are paid less then an average pro ball player....Track safety has come along way as well...My family lost a cousin at a local track in the early 60's from a driver crashing into the stands before fencing was mandatory....
Outside of NHRA....The hubhub is that top speeds have already been reached and now safety and fairness are now the top priority...

Thanks for asking, we are just a few weeks away from testing should have it fired up Sat dyno test it and tune it and make sure the Lencodrive all els is tested good. We should have no problem reaching our goal power wise the chassies is our main issue if it will hold the power to that point my be a handful but well get there
I want to get it weighed and see how much we lost and check the weight on the four wheel weight scales. We got a few ideas as far as aero effects to help at high speed thanks to Hegerman T/F and P/M aero specialist. Good luck at the Dayton meet look forward to seeing the first Turbo SC in the 9's soon

I know it was a great track there was talk of getting the lease back for the sprint car track but it was put to rest. Vaca Valley drag strip you can still see where it was from the highway they where trying to get the lease back on it in 2006 but the people living close put a stop to it. I still remember the "Last Drag Race" at Fremont it was sad leaving the track that night

Jim,
You still planning to use the same M90 based blower, or going to something bigger ?

I am staying with the same M90 based blower we had built with tefflon seals. I am having Alan Johnson build a sheet metal raised top intake to test latter in the season. I am using the same JDS high flow heads we up-dated them with Ferrea Titanium valves

This is the latest heads done by my dad both sets where ported and flow tested by my father. Bob Johnson installed the valve guides only we didnot have the tooling for it here at the shop. Bob also helped getting parts at cost only. These are the big valve heads the intake was also ported and flowed by my father. He has hundereds of hours in porting flowing on these heads he was the best at it

Death can come quick
John Mulligan was burned to death in a front engine top fueler I seen my friend Brent Davis crash his front engine top fueler at Fremont Last Drag race he is now paralized. Les Ritchy was killed in a A/FX Mustang like my fathers in testing. Things have gottin better but at any given moment it can take your life. Drag racing we take our chanced each time we strap in the car thats the sport we live by and love
