i spun a main bearing in my 92 sc, i have my hands on a motor from a 92 sc with 32k on it for short cash, 100% complete, are these motors a pain in the butt to replace?, im a tech at garage so i know what im doing, just looking for some hints and or advice.
oh and its a 5speed

ive tried searching but i couldnt find much.

thanks

Been there, done that.. It's not too bad, especially if you've got a 2nd set of hands. I think it took us about 6 hours or so to pull the engine from start to it being out and on the stand.

might also check the motor mounts while the engine is out if you haven't checked them already. its alot easier to change them while you have it out . :p

Great pics, and very helpful. The timing couldn't be better as I'm starting my engine R-n-R next weekend.

Yeah, its SO much easier doing as much assembly as possible with the engine on the stand rather than stooping over the fenders trying to add on all the small stuff :)

Good lookin' engine, by the way.

Cheers

I spent most of this weekend sitting on the front clip and standing on the front cross members....not comfy...
