My fan is coming on late and I want to swap out the ECT. What's a good brand everyone's had luck with?

Forgot to ask, how much coolant really needs to be drained to replace this sensor?

None, just level the car & relieve the system pressure. you will see the coolant just sitting there close to the top of the collar. When installing I squeeze the upper rad hose so the coolant is at the top so the sensor gets liquid & not air.
It would pressure up to it anyway but its a help.

I just recently read that it's a good idea to check the resistance of the IAT sensor against your ECT sensor to make sure that they both give approximately the same information to the EEC. (Best done off the car in a pan of water or something.) The temperature versus voltage scale should be the same. If they are too far off, consider replacing the IAT sensor as well.
