I know how you feel Brandon. Sorry you had to go so deep into the motor to fined the problem.
I've been chasing a few problem with the wifes car this weekend, oil leaks, water leaks...Etc. Every time I get one thing fix I see two more that need to be done. Well the oil leak was self inflected, it probely that metal persin bullet I put threw the block...j/k;)
Even though I didn't shoot it i thought i would save the bullet for the guy that I bought it from when I see him again:mad:
I guess for you and your problem its a matter of time and money now..Or just mind over Matter.
Good luck... Kurt Sr

It's the front (you can see the timing chain in the pic). I'm taking it down to my machinist to find out what went wrong. I hope it didn't damage the block!

Looks like a spun bearing right? I hear that happens when you get water in your oil or you over revv it. Mine did it after I blew headgaskets cuz I had driven it after I blew them for too long. It basically cost me a crank regrind, some push rods, and new bearing set, but I would have done the whole engine if I had to do it over again....wait a minute, I did have to do it over again early this year :P anyways, my condolences, and hope it gets on the road soon.

Al,
This motor only has 1000 miles (if that) on it. It's just that one set of bearings, the rest of the motor is cherry. I'm taking it back to the machinist Friday to have him look at it and find out what went wrong. He built it, so he should fix it.

Dang, I agree, maybe he suffed the surface of the crank with something and it was enough to move the ebaring *shruggs shoulders* it shoudl still be under warranty.
