Just had the same problem. There is a very small switch inside the door on the latch assembly that is held in by a phillips screw.
I removed the panel, left the window up and took off the inside rubber rail and could see the switch from the top of the door by the window. Once the phillips screw is removed the switch needs turned about a quarter turn and then it will pull out. I had to take an 18" screw driver to reach in from where the window rubber sat to turn the switch (did a little prying against the screw hole) and then could pull it from the door via the opening.
The switch has a tendency to get very dirty and can be cleaned up or replaced.
