phenolic spacer for 3.8

My guess

is that it's supposed to cool the intake charge slightly by interrupting the convection heating of your upper intake manifold. The denser air would give you more power.

Do you drive an N/A 3.8?

I understand the theory behind them. I'm inquiring @ who makes them and the advertsied HP gains.

yes, my pony is a NA 3.8. it may stay this way for at least 6-9 months. then it's gonna get a blower. haven't decided on roots or centrifugal. I see advantages and disadvantages to each kind.

It's not something us SC users would use. Our supercharger generates much more heat than that simple material will help insulate the intake charge from. Our cars have a small intercooler mounted next to the radiator to cool the intake charge.

In general though, it shouldn't be too hard. you just need to split the upper and lower intake manifold. Contact the guy at the website, I'm sure he'll have all your answers.
