Can the SuperCoupe experts help me to understand the different calipers used on the various years and models.
I know the rotor thickness changed in 93, making the calipers and brackets different between 87-92 and 93-97
There is also a difference in the manner in which the eBrake cable attaches. Some models have a boss in the caliper casting that captures the cable housing and the ball end of the cable slips into the eBrake lever.
But there is also a type that the cable housing clips into the eBrake lever and the ball end of the cable anchors to the casting of the caliper.
Is this a change from year to year or is it a different (but similar) brake caliper?
I have the second type and trying to mount them to my Cobra replica with a TC IRS. They are installed but the parking brake system SUCKS. I am trying to improve performance of the parking brake and the type that the inner cable serves to actuate the lever would appear to be a better choice. But I can't find it now.
Can anyone help point me in the right direction
Thanks
Paul
