Engine locked up!

Car was siting for 8 years, got moisture in block now its locked up.

I figure as long as I am going threw this motor I will do some mods.

I need some help with who,were to get performance parts and what you guys think for mods. Port heads? Port manifolds or are there a header thats avaliable? Cam? how big?

I was always happy with the performance of this car with an overdrive pulley,chip and exaughst. I just think there would be some good power makers internally. what do you guys recomend?

Block is going to the machinst. Should I have it bored?

Have them check the cyl for roundness, not knowing miles or if it every overheated or got hot I would bore it. if I had it completely apart I would. Are you going to keep the car for a long time, I would bore it.

Check cylinder roundness. If anything more than honing required, go .030 overbore. If they have a torque plate, have them use it.

Pressure check the heads
Aline Hone the mains.
Check the deck and make it flat. Make sure deck height is checked and documented.
Remove and install new cam bearings.
Recondition and shot peen original rods. Install new ARP Rod bolts. Install new ARP Main Studs.
New BHJ Balancer
Have assembly balanced.
Federal-Mogul/Sealed Power bearings (main, Rod, cam)

Slap it back together with ARP head studs, new intake manifold bolts, and Felpro Permatorqe MLS Head Gaskets.
