92 5Spd, completing engine re-install, aluminum flywheel, original clutch.
I have a vacum leak to solve, but worse a very rattly/hissing kind of noise, narrowed down thinking coming from middle under car.
Still present with all belts off and only the crank turning.
Sounds to be speed dependent.
There was a 'ping' when we were mating the engine to the tranny in the car - I am wondering if one of the clutch fingers got bent out of shape?
It does not change with the clutch depressed or released, even under load against the parking brake.
I think I may have to get under and open the 'inspection' port maybe I will see something.
Any other suggestions?
