Well as some of you know the last engine in my black car went boom, so I redid some things and got the new one running. I have been out piutting some miles on it with some care to make sure it was all good to go. Last night I had to go into work for a bit and it was nice out so I took the car. There is this road where everyone goes to find "fun" and it is right on my way home. It had gotten a bit late and started to cool off so I took the streets home instead of the freeway. I really don't like running the freeway with this tall of a rear gear so the street was good for last night.
I got most of the way home before the guy in a 5.0 mustang gt with a "pro charger" started to pick a race. He keep it up for about four lights and each time I would just let him go. When we got up to this one road that is kind of out in the open he turned, so I said what the heck and turned as well. I kicked it and got up to him and he dropped his window and pointed to the up comimg stop light. That was good enought for me. While at the light he said something that made me a bit short, so when the light turned green it was on. By the end of first gear I was pulling him so bad that it was a joke. He comes up next to me and yells "What kind of a jet engine you got in that thing?" I point for him to pull over so he does. The look on his face when I opened the hood was "PRICELESS" He was at a lose for words. He did say it sounded like the sickest "GTP" he has ever heard, boy was he wrong. We chatted for a few and then he left with a better understanding of "never judge a car by it's looks" Boy this was a great test for this engine, now time to head down to the track for some test& tunning.....Rich

Fun...fun...fun... So approximately how many cubic inches is that motor? Got a picture of the car with the hood closed?

Mike it is just your basic S.C. with some groth hormones added.. This one is somewhere around 4.3 or so. I think if you round up the first point it is a 4.3 otherwise it is a 4.2 + The whole thing fits under the stock hood, that's what makes it so fun... All I can say is that MPX on overdrive gets LOUD real LOUD.. That is what he ment about a "GTP" Some of those guys are starting to spin their stuff to 35%+ as well.....Rich

That really sounds fun. Mike's car at the Nebraska tune set the stage for folks plugging their ears when the MPX cars were running on the dyno.

We should have a little get together out in your neck this year. I wouldn't mind a road trip to watch you try and shoe horn a big block into a MN12 again then go and race some folks. don't have to be a big deal like a few years ago.
