I want to send out a challenge to all Thunderbird/Cougar owners from Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Colorado, and Oklahoma. Let's see who can get the most people there! So far we have 6-7 people coming down from Nebraska. I know you guys can beat that. Encourage anyone you know to try and make it. It's going to be a great time!

For those of you who are not from the Independence, MO area .... This is nice track with a fully paved pit area, the hotel is nice with great access. (The hotel is literally a stones throw from the Interstate and the track is on the same street as the hotel).

If the weather coperates with us we will have our Saturday Night party and Awards presentation in an outdoor courtyard and if not they have a nice indoor pool and recreation area.

There are alot of food choices within a few miles of the hotel and I understand from Mark that the nightlife in the area is killer too.

Man, I'm gettin' pumped just writing this up ..... I'm ready to leave for KC tomorrow ....... (Think I'd be a little early)????:D

What exactly is the schedule of events? I live in KC, and I might come on over is something interesting is going on. I am not much of a drag racer, but heck, I might give it a whirl. Oh, by the way, it doesn't HAVE to be an SC does it? A 5.0 will work won't it? Thanks.

We will start doing stuff on Friday night but the main event starts on Saturday at the track. The gates open at around 10 and there will be a car show and bracket racing. Then we will be having a party at the hotel on Saturday night. The party will also be were we give out the awards.

Yes, its' open to any Ford Product and some special interest vechices too. See the event itinerary at: http://www.albeedigital.com/midwest/itinerary.html

Can I still come even if I didn't pre-register? I am not all that interested in all the goodies or anything, though it is pretty cool that you are doing it. I would have pre-registered, but I don't know if I am going to be able to make it or not because I have been swamped trying to buy a house. I would like to make it out if I can though, since it is here in town and all.

John,
YES, you can come even if you didn't pre-register. It just costs more if you wait. If fact the cut off for pre-entry was midnight Sunday.

If you just want to come and hang out (Not show your car or drag race) you can get a spectator pass at the gate. It's just $20.00 for the whole day! :)
