if its cool not cold that means it has a leak.

be sure you add some oil in it with the freon

im not sure about the s/c but on the 5.0 its the fitting closest to the a/c compressor.

if no one post back with a definite answer soon i'll go run out to my s/c and check

if your car is a 89 you have to remove the low pressure switch,un plug it and screw it off, reguler 134 hose snap wont work will have to scree yellow hose to it.in other words like recharging old style freeon.

no,the valve in it , will just pop up like putting air in a tire, that is what it looks like top of a valve stem, when charged ,just screw the low pressure switch back on and plug back in,just tighten it a little for thw switch is plastic on threaded end.one thing TONY im certifed in auto air condition.a bit of info that i do know a little something.

Thats not how I charged my 89, there is a shreader valve on top of the accummulator near the fire wall. some may have a cap still on it.

How about you just stop with all this useless jibba jabba jobba and yank the entire thing out. AC is garbage anyway, just open window if your hot.

Come on tony, all the cool kids are doing it.

TONY.the thing with 134 is it dont start to really get cold until you get up to speed then it is great, just idleing or in city driving stop and go it is not as cold. the frezze 12 i changed mine to is like the old freeon, gets so cold the windoes fog up .you in 100 degrees you may think of changing yours over.

Young-SC-Owner
05-19-2008, 11:46 PM

Im not converting

dwayne
05-19-2008, 11:53 PM
nothing to change, just vacume down, see if it holds vac for a few minutes,if so ,ad oil and re charge, that simple, with the heat you in you would notice a big change.

looks like you go under the pressure switch. Dont be suprised if you loose a little freeon when your taking it off and putting it on. there'll be a split second b/w when the seal lets go and the valve closes. :)
