Hey guys

Just FYI, I noticed this morning when looking up a price for a crank sensor on a 90, that the 89 - 93 sensors are being discontinued. F3SZ 6C315 AA, Motorcraft DY-911. There is still some stock in the Memphis warehouse, and some dealers may have them on the shelf of course. Obviously the aftermarket will have them for some time, but some people do prefer to use OEM stuff for engine sensors and electrical components.

I just bought one beause jaspers warrenteed motor snapped a crank, bent the tone ring and broke the inside ear off, good to know though.

How much do the Motorcraft ones run compared to the after market ones? Looked up the price on one here at Advance Auto a few weeks ago and it was about $52 US for the GP Sorensen brand.

Do any other Ford products use the DY-911, or is it an SC-only thing? Just curious.

Cheers

89 - 93 SC and 89 - 90 XR-7 only for that one. The 94 - 95 sensor changes up to the one used on the late 90s / early 00s Windstar 3.8L.
