A little sad. From the pics it looks like it was a top of the line facilty back in the day.

It is sad we had here in Southern Calif Orange County International Raceway and Ontario Motor Speedway both state of the art tracks all gone

I remember both those closings (lived in SoCal for 29 years) as well as the closing of the old Lions Drag Strip.

Is Pomona still open? Funny....I just can't remember if it is or isn't. I think it was open when I left in '94. And do they still have the huge annual swap meet there ?

Yes Pomona is still open they have the Winternationals and World Finals there each year. They do still have the big annual swap meet there each year also have a big Hilton hotel its big. Lions drag strip after it closed years latter Brotherhood drag strip was built on Termanal Island but closed in the 80's Palmdale drag strip is still open

Wish we could bring back those good old days
