I bought a new ignition switch and tumbler, and installed them today. No change in symptoms

It does spring back after being turned to the start position. I have not tried turning it back to acc, but I will try when I get home tonight

Welp I brought her home today! It’s not perfect, nor did I want it to be. It’s been sitting for 4-5 years, so I changed the oil, dropped a new battery in it and it fired up! I took it up and down the road and it did respectable considering the fact! Temperature is supposed to be good tomorrow so...

Hello all! Glad to be here! I am in the process of buying a 1990 Cougar XR7. It’s been in my wife’s family since new and am glad to be part of the adventure! It’s a high optioned car with all the bells and whistles. It is an automatic (ugh...) but I’ll live with it lol. Thanks for having me!
