Information that you need to know if you plan to attend the SC Shootout.


Shootout Itinerary:

Friday Oct. 7 8am-5pm, dyno tuning at:

This is not technically part of the SC Shootout, participation is by reservation only.

The Shootout begins officially with sign in and party at the hotel Friday night. Directions, participant packets, etc, will be presented from 6pm-midnight.

Saturday Oct 8. 8am-5pm

This is the dyno competition. We will have a general guideline for classes and times but this is not set in stone. Late arrivals will be accepted up until the dyno closes. Lunch will be served at the dyno facility.

Saturday night dinner/party intinerary is yet to be finalized. This will include door prizes and award presentation for the dyno competition.

Sunday Oct. 9 8am-5pm

Drag racing venue at Thunder Valley Raceway

Trophies and awards will be presented at the track and the event will officially end at this time.

To make your reservations, please state that you are with the Super Coupe Club of America to get the contract rate. We have 20 non-smoking singles and 30 non-smoking doubles. We did this to get the group located all together in the same area of the hotel. All unreserved rooms will be released on the 15th of September so don't delay setting up your reservations.
 
Class Rules:

Rules:

Common rules for Street Stock and both Modified Classes.

1) No fuel cells, must use stock tank.
2) Full rear exit exhaust required.
3) Current license and insurance required.
4) No trans-brakes.



1) Street Stock

Engine. Stock longblock (including block, cam, rotating assembly and heads). No internal modifications, stock rebuilds only. M90 supercharger only. No nitrous, alcohol, propane, or any other injection. All other external bolt ons allowed.

Body. Car must be or appear to be a factory supercharged MN12. Body kits are allowed. All factory glass and body panels must be present.

Tires. DOT radial tires only.

Interior: Full interior required. Custom components allowed but all panels/components must be present.

Suspension. Stock style U/L control arm, fully independent 4 wheel suspension design. Upgrades and modifications allowed.

Index. None


2) Modified Level 1

Engine. 3.8L based Ford V6, internal mods allowed, ported heads allowed. CNC ported and/or welded exhaust ports NOT allowed. M90 supercharger only. No nitrous allowed. Alcohol injection allowed.

Body. Same as stock class.

Tires. All DOT tires allowed.

Suspension. Same as stock

Interior. Same as stock

3) Modified Level 2

Engine. Must be 3.8L based Ford V6. Any form of forced induction allowed.
Nitrous allowed. Additives allowed.

Body. Any MN12 body allowed.

Tires. Unrestricted.

Suspension. Same as stock

Interior. Must meet NHRA/IHRA safety rules.

4) Pro Street

Engine. 3.8/4.2L based Ford V6 engine.

Body. Any MN12 body allowed.

Tires. Unrestricted

Suspension. Unrestricted.

Interior. Must meet NHRA/IHRA safety rules.

Index. None. Limited to 8 entries. Bumps to ET Bracket.



5) Outlaw V8

MN12 body.

Otherwise unrestricted.



6) Bracket ET

Any car which qualifies for one of the above listed classes. Buy backs $10
1st round, $20 second round. Competition in heads up and brackets by same
car/driver allowed.

Non MN12 participants please note:

Race track use will be open to all Ford vehicles which register using the following form. Participation in bracket racing will be up to the discretion of the event organizers on the day of the race. No promise to non MN12 vehicles to participate in SC Shootout classes will be given prior to race day. In the event that any non-MN12 vehicles allowed to participate in class racing, they will be limited to ET brackets only.
 
Event Fees:

Total event fee per registrant/vehicle: $95 which includes:

Registration fee
Dyno fee
Lunch at dyno
Dinner Saturday night (buffet)
Track fees
T-shirt
Eligibility for trophies/prizes.

Spectator fee per person: $35 which includes:

Lunch at dyno
Dinner Saturday night (buffet)
Entrance at track
T-shirt

Track use only: $35

This is for people who want to participate at the track but do not have MN12 vehicles and do not intend to compete in the SC Shootout classes.

T shirts will be available for purchase for $15/ea at the event. Attendence at the dinner Saturday night will be open to non-registered individuals. They will be free to pay for their own meal and associate freely with the group.

Track concession stands will be open on race day, food will not be provided by the SC Shootout.

Notice to all Participants:

1) The forms must be filled out for each adult attending whether you are racing or not. Please use the forms that apply to you.

2) Only registrations received prior to the event will get Tshirts. Registering early will help ensure that accurate accomodations are provided. Please help us help you!

3) No form will be considered valid without payment. This is not Pre-Registration. This is the real deal! :)

4) Payments will be accepted via paypal (credit card payments are accepted), or by check/MO.

5) Please use the attached forms for registration. You will either copy and paste them into an email if paying by Paypal, or print them out and mail them along with your check/mo payment.

The SC Shootout Committee thanks you!

Note: The "All Forms.pdf" contains all of the documents in one file. It also has fields that can simply be filled in.
