Yeah I'd imagine they would be hard to ding there send me an email for you it's easier to attach to email than it is on the forum..
My 97 lx and my 90 SC look very similar if you have a scrap yard nearby you maybe check there I can post a picture of my 97 next week when I'm under it doing the transmission
I put it back together but I will in near future had to make room to get my 97 tbird in to replace the transmission... Should have taken a picture of it when I had it apart

Well I have one disconnected/broken black wire that has no other end that I can find and no copper wire inside of it
Ok so messing with my power locks cause my drivers door doesn't lock when interior switch is pressed found out the selnoid was mounted got that issue fixed and working but my Keypad has never worked...
Personally I would replace the cam sensor and work from there see where if anywhere that leads you just be really careful with the pig tail make sure it doesn't end up contacting the pulley that it's...
I belive the most common problem is the camshaft position sensor
That was replaced when I put in the trans anyway to test it?
Doesn't look really dark doesn't smell off is the sensor on the shifter cable side I think I'm rembering the neutral safety switch
Fluid full changed fluid about 2 years ago when I put that trans in it from a donor car also did the filter not sure where the sensor is
So my 97 tbird lx 4.6 auto is loosing the transmission it has a bad torque converter shudder from 3-4 and slips in and out of 4th example would be if your doing 70 and let off the gas it's like you...

I would check the fuel pump shut off switch in the trunk if you haven't already
Try the wire I belive its pink and black from the fuel pump relay in the trunk add 12v and see if you hear the pump run not a fix but it's a way to see if the pump is good
