almost the owner of a sc....

motor that is. i am buying a sc motor off my buddy to start my project. i currently have an 04 v6 mustang that is going to get the motor.

now what i plan on doing is buying the sc motor, putting a forged 4.2l bottom end, ported heads, custom cam, and replace pretty much everything else, including the blower.

now i have a couple questions.

does a stock sc come with a forged bottom end?

whats the best upgraded blower for this engine? i have heard of an autorotor blower which sounds pretty damn good on these cars.

how much boost are you all running, and how much can the built motor handle?

how much hp can i expect with an upgraded blower and a small shot (probably 50-75)?

    Sc bottom end is forged.
    Block is beefier.
Autorotor would probably be the best but is big$$$.
Why buy the 3.8L sc engine if your just going to replace all of it's parts?????????

b/c its the cheapest way to make power. i can buy the motor for like 500 or cheaper and build it myself, or i could just buy a ssm 4.3 stroker done like i want for 7k, not including building up the tranny or doing a tt kit on it, which is probably another 4k

by the way, how much power can i expect with a built sc motor with 15psi and a 50 shot, given the motor can handle that reliably?

what blower is it? are the heads stock?

i was hoping on at least 450rwhp with everything done.

oh, and who makes autorotor blowers? i've seen magnachargers and another one, but not autorotors

his heads are stock and cam is stock. his blower is a ported late model , and nobody else has ever managed to get 150+whp outa a 75shot. and they have some otha mods, so i would set my goals lower then 450 bc you will likely be disappointed

KB makes the AR but yah cant touch um. u can get a whipple easily. theres a discussion about them now going on, do a search. or you can buy my AR for $1million

theres only a few sc's that are 400+whp. you cant put a OD pulley on and a 50 shot and expect 450whp. theres alot more in it then that. your having unrealistic expectations

    ok, another question:

how much power can the motor hold in stock trim? i realize that the block is pretty strong and it has a forged bottom end. i am asking b/c i might go a different route with this buildup

what more would i need to do to build up a forged bottom end?

the guy that is supposed to do the build up suggested just buying a procharger on like 20psi to get the power
