no problem kurt :p i can see you hitting an 11 easily if the weather is good.

anthony, if i wasnt just out of work for a few months started a new job right after that had surgery in that time i would of had my car to the shootout and the clubclash. it ran just fine in june when i had it out before all the crap happened in my life. sometimes things are beyond ones control. right now the car isnt on the top of the list on where im investing my money. as far as taking my car places and racing it, i did take my car to stlouis for wfc many years to race it and everyone else just took their cars and parked them in the carshow so please dont tell me i dont go to things and dont race. ive also raced at more sshs, imsm, and nmra races then most here combined.

Hate to hear all the crap happening to ya. I am no stranger to ~~~~~ happening. Now get your ~~~~~ straight and come out in the spring with us. ;)

Well, here's the scoop.

I didn't get to use Neibert's rear Bogarts, as his 27" tall tires rubbed my fenders (my car sits a little lower than his and his fenders are rolled). Density Altitude was 2800' (at the Shootout, it was 2300'). Traction sucked.

I made 8 passes during the 80° day with 60' times between 1.808 and 1.758 (best at the Shootout was 1.670). I started the day at my normal 17 psi in the tires and finished with only 12.5 psi and traction never got better and it definitely wasn't due to lack of burnout.

Now that I've got all of the *cough*excuses*cough* out of the way, here are the details listed 60', 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile.
1st pass: 1.801, 7.819@90.22, 12.156@113.84 (picked up 2 mph).
2nd pass: 1.803, 7.937@88.68, 12.327@112.30
3rd pass: 1.779, 7.821@89.61, 12.183@113.19
4th pass: 1.800, 7.902@89.25, 12.427@99.86 (1st round of brack eliminations)
5th pass: 1.758, 7.849@89.17, 12.232@112.86 (red lighted and stayed in it)
6th pass: 1.808, 7.830@90.13, 12.160@115.85 (opponet red lighted, mph looked good)
7th pass: 1.775, 7.760@90.41, 12.187@102.45 (yes, this was probably the elusive 11, but I was trying to win the bracket and still broke out:rolleyes:)
last chance: 1.788, 7.868@89.71, 12.210@116.16 mph

Looks like several of you guys picked 116 mph.

So I did not get an eleven second pass, but I know I can.

Well, kurt didn't get to use the rear bogarts, so you guys have to take the 14lbs weight savings and 27 inch tire part of it out of the equation. I didn't realize until just now though that Kurt showed up 160 lbs lighter than at Dayton.

Traction was the only thing keeping you from getting into the 11s. Still planning to try again Tuesday night ?

David
Yes, but I don't think the weather will cooperate.

edit: just checked the forecast and it looks like the rain is getting pushed off until Wednesday. It won't be as cool as I'd like, but the traction should be better....and the car is already loaded on the trailer :)

You're there. Find some traction and nail the 60' and its clearly there. So, I'm thinking you're liking the way the 2.0 accelerates in the top end, huh? :D

Ira

Oh wait, I just realized, there was no 12.12 in there yet?? pppppppffffffttttttt :D ;)

Congrats Kurt I am sure you ill get there.

Question, did you solve the fuel issues you had at the Shootout?
